H.R Knives – Hitman Folding Knife
From the shadowy precision of butterfly blades to the bold strike of their first folding knife, H.R Knives is stepping into new territory, and doing it on their own terms. Long admired for their collaboration with Reate, the undisputed standard-bearer in premium knife manufacturing, H.R built their reputation on ballet-like balance and mechanical excellence. But now, they’ve decided to fold all that experience, quite literally, into something entirely new.
Meet Hitman: a name that doesn’t whisper, but lands like a closed fist on polished steel.
A Different Kind of Fold
In an era where most folding knives are trimming the fat, going lighter, slimmer, quieter, the Hitman takes the opposite route. This knife leans into presence, into density, into that reassuring weight in your palm that says “I’m here. I’m ready.”
With an overall length of 21.5cm, blade thickness of 4.9mm, and a handle swelling up to 18mm at its widest, the Hitman doesn’t just fill your hand, it anchors it. The result is a tool that feels as confident as it looks, delivering not only function, but a sense of tactile dominance.
Crafted to Command
At the heart of the Hitman is a blade of M390 steel, known for its elite edge retention and cutting performance. But this isn’t just any flat grind. H.R Knives went for a deep hollow grind, paired with multi-surface grinding, giving the blade a striking duality, thick and tough at the spine, precise and keen at the edge. It’s a design that invites use: slicing, piercing, and everything in between.
The handle is carved from a solid block of TC4 titanium, machined into a seamless integral structure, minimizing parts and maximizing integrity. It’s a design language of clarity and control, simple on paper, complex in execution.
And then, there's that accent.
Positioned at the thumb stud is a standout anodized titanium insert, CNC-machined with fine lines and bold intent. It’s the kind of detail you don’t just notice, you remember. Plans are already underway for future interchangeable ramp modules, offering even deeper customization for those who treat their knives like extensions of self.
Variants with a Vibe
The Hitman comes in three distinct variants, each with its own mood and material signature:
- All-Black Stealth – TC4 titanium handle paired with black PVD titanium scales. Understated but imposing.
- Full-DLC Assault – A complete DLC configuration, including blade and handle, Tactical and unflinching.
- Lava Fat Carbon – TC4 titanium frame meets exotic lava fat carbon scales, a visual eruption of layered texture and contrast.
Stamped by the Best
And that’s the kicker. Reate didn’t just make this knife, they certified it.
With their name comes a guarantee: this is the ceiling of production quality. You don’t need to ask how it flips, locks, centers, or slices. If it’s Reate, those questions are already answered. All that’s left is: do you want it in Black, DLC or Fat Carbon?
The Hitman isn’t here to chase trends. It’s here to establish a new category, one where confidence is measured in grams, and personality is carved in titanium.
H.R Knives didn’t just release a folding knife.
They deployed it.
